Encyclopaedia Britannica Renewed

We are in the process of renewing our subscription to Encyclopaedia Britannica, however, the usage is not particularly high, and so it is important to promote the resource in the coming year, unless we want to lose it. Next May we will be looking at the subscription again.

Journals for keeps

If you are thinking of cancelling any journals in the coming months, could you take a look at this spreadsheet first, please.

It lists the titles which are tied into three  NESLI2 agreements, giving us access to ejournal collections from Wiley-Blackwell, ScienceDirect, and BMJ.

The titles on the spreadsheet shouldn’t be cancelled.

There’s a little leeway at the end of the year to make some cancellations and substitutions.  Contact us if you want details.

ASSIA and BHI get the thumbs up

Two centrally paid-for databases – the British Humanities Index and ASSIA – are being renewed for another year.  Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback.

Both are available on the CSA Illumina platform; both are well established and have had steady use over the past year.
