Film & Sound Online has made a big batch of films from the Wellcome Film Collection newly available.
There’s some 540 films in the Collection, many of which were originally made for professional audiences such as doctors, surgeons, and nurses. So be prepared for some “hands-on” footage of clinical procedures and actual operations.

Some of our links to journals and databases – those which use the EZProxy server – will be out of action for a little while on Monday morning, 2nd March, while IT services install updates.
The break will be from 9am for about 1 hour.
We have a trial of the Routledge Annotated Bibliography of English Studies until March 26th.
It’s a selective bibliography of significant material published in the field of literary studies each year.

We have access now to a subset collection of Periodicals Archive Online, supplied via JISC.
The JISC collection consists of 80 full text journal backfiles in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, dating from 1891 to 2000.
