Reference Resouces, Canada, and Islam – New Trials for Humanities

Presently, we have 3 trials of resources for Humanities. These include Oxford Islamic Studies Online, the Canadian Historical Review, and the Routledge Reference Resources database. CHR is a full-text electronic journal (its archive running back to Volume 1, 1920). The Routledge database gives access to reference encyclopaedias (mainly concerned with philosophy, ethics and religion). The Islamic Studies resource includes timelines, a Qur’anic verse look-up, and a date converter. Access details are found on our Current Database Trials page.

Maintenance Update

  • Wiley InterScience access may be interrupted on Monday December 21st from 9:00 for up to one hour due to essential site maintenance. #fb 2 weeks ago
  • Wordbanks Online will be unavailable between 09:00 - 12.00 on Saturday 12th December. #fb 3 weeks ago
  • On Tuesday 15th December (10:00am approx.) the Zetoc service should be considered "at risk" for a short period of time. #fb 4 weeks ago
  • Enquiry desk problem resolved 1 month ago
  • There's a problem accessing Athens resources with enquiry desk logins at Harrison and possibly Walsall. CITS team are working on it 1 month ago
