We’ve made a link to OPAC which automatically authenticates users. It’s the link on our Electronic resources page .
It’ll help people who want to access electronic resources from OPAC. By using this link they won’t have to remember to authenticate first.
We’re also arranging a meeting to discuss how we can make authenticating less of a problem for OPAC users. The meeting is on the 5th August in Harrison around 10am. Could we ask for interested volunteers, please? Could you email us if you’d like to take part.
We’ll confirm the exact time and room in the next week or so.
At the meeting we also want to discuss Athens and authentication in general. How do we re-phrase the way we talk about them now that Athens is being superceded?
