Clearer links on link resolver page

The page you see when you click on the article linker button button has been updated.

It makes it clearer that you need to check OPAC if a link isn’t available. The page also gives you the options of searching Google Scholar and OAIster.

New deals from small publishers

Seven small and medium sized publishers are offering deals on ejournals through NESLI2.

Past NESLI2 agreements have been with big fish like Elsevier and Blackwell. Now smaller fry are being encouraged to offer collections at attractive rates.

Old newspapers from the British Library

We’ve just got online access to the 19th Century British Library Newspapers collection.

It contains the full runs of 48 national and regional papers. Special attention is given to papers that helped lead political and social movements – like Home Rule, Chartism and Reform. It also has penny papers, aimed at the working classes.

Access the BBC’s rich archive of moving images with the BBC Motion Gallery. For the first time the BBC’s archive of moving images is available online from the BBC Motion Gallery. Over 30,000 clips are available, spanning 70 years, which are ready for download for educational use. This resource is useful for a variety of subject and course areas.
